This past Monday I went to Bumbershoot with some friends. Sadly, it was more crowded than we expected and we didn’t get a chance to see many shows. (I was really looking forward to the Trapped in the Closet comedy show, too.) However, I did get to experience Flatstock for the first time. It was bustling but I got a chance to walk around and admire the amazing amount of good art before picking out what I wanted.
I ended up taking home this fine poster (notice the dripping hearts):

and another one by Alan Hynes and Chris Hall that I couldn’t find a picture of online. When I get around to buying a new camera, I’ll post a picture of it.
Incidentally, I looked up the artist of the Shonen Knife poster, Tara McPherson, and ended up really liking her other art. I’ll probably end up getting more of her stuff.
I was also tempted to get this (may be slightly NWS) particular Alan Hynes/Chris Hall poster. I regret not getting it there as it doesn’t seem to be available online, but I’ll probably e-mail Alan Hynes directly (also to ask why his site isn’t up) and see if I can get him to ship it.
